Nestled in Agra, we're on an exciting journey to infuse sustainability with design aesthetics, art, utility, and functionality. What started as a sole venture with seed paper is now expanding to embrace a wider array of sustainable materials. And now, we're inviting global consumers to become more than just shoppers - to become eco-innovators.
Our roots can be traced back to our quest for eco-friendly wedding cards in 2016. Unsatisfied by the lack of appealing and cost-effective options, we took matters into our own hands. We crafted cards from cotton-scrap handmade paper embedded with vegetable seeds, and in doing so, we sparked a movement. The feedback was incredibly positive, and it motivated us to delve deeper into the realm of sustainable stationery. A couple of years later, in December 2018, Plantables sprouted into existence, initiating with plantable calendars.
Today, every design you can conceive is meticulously crafted by our dedicated artisans, skilled women whose hands turn upcycled pre-consumer cotton waste into products that grow. For many of the women on our team, this was the first formal job of their lives, and with it came first bank accounts, provident funds and health cover. They are the makers; their craft is what you are holding. Each purchase you make adds an artistic touch to your space and kindles a spark of positive change.
The seeds of change we've sown have now grown into a forest of impact. With millions of plantable products sold in 43+ countries and 15+ languages, we've catered to over 25,000 customers, including more than 300 brands.
